Inclusive Education

Inclusion of all students’ abilities and needs is a valued part of our diversity at St Monica’s Parish School.  In every classroom there are range of learning, social/emotional, sensory and physical abilities that may impact students’ learning.  Staff are experienced and passionate about enabling all children the opportunities to experience growth and success at school.

Teachers, in partnership with the student, parents, Inclusion Coordinator and allied health professionals develop Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL) to support students’ learning and social/emotional needs.  The PPL documents information including: impact on learning, personal adjustments, consultation with the student and parents, setting goals, monitoring of progress and reviewing improvements.  We provide enrichment opportunities for Gifted and Highly Able students both in the classroom and through extra curricula opportunities such as Tournament of Minds.
