For families wishing to enrol in St Monica's Parish School, please follow our enrolment process.

Our enrolment process

  1. Contact the school on (08) 8344 2384 or email the school at info@stmonica.catholic.edu.au. An Application for Enrolment form will be sent to you via mail.
  2. Group Principal's Tours are available each term for parents and children to receive information and a viewing of the school. These are held on a nominated Tuesday morning at 9:15am. Please contact the School Office for further details and to register your attendance.
  3. Return the completed Application for Enrolment form to the school. Copies of Birth Certificates and Baptismal Certificates (where applicable) must be provided. An Enrolment Fee of $100 is payable to St Monica’s Parish School. This fee is payable by cheque, cash, card or direct debit (please phone for bank account details), at the School Office.
  4. The School Enrolment Officer will contact you inviting you to an enrolment interview. Enrolment interviews generally occur in Term 2, one and a half years prior to your child starting school.
  5. Parents and the child meet with the Principal or Assistant Principal. During this meeting you are given information about the school, have your questions answered and have a tour of the school. This also provides an opportunity for the Principal/Assistant Principal to meet your child.
  6. If a position is available, a letter of ‘Offer of Enrolment’ is sent to you.
  7. If your family wishes to accept this enrolment offer, then you need to sign the ‘Acceptance of Offer’ and return it to the school with a payment of $100 to secure the position. This $100 is deducted off the school fees when your child starts school.
  8. If a position is not currently available the school will notify you by letter and the enrolment will be placed on a waiting list.

There are a large variety of faiths and denominations represented amongst our student population at St. Monica’s.

Our understanding of Catholic traditions and practices are deepened by the experience of other faiths within our community. The St Monica’s School Board has developed an Enrolment Policy that recognises that we are a Catholic School within the Greenacres/Walkerville Parish. Thus, when determining enrolments, the following criteria is applied:

  • Category 1: Siblings of enrolled students
  • Category 2: Baptised Catholic children within our Parish
  • Category 3: Baptised Catholic children of other Parishes
  • Category 4: Christian children of other denominations
  • Category 5: Non-denominational children

Please contact the School Office for further information.

Saint Monica acknowledges that we are gathered on the traditional country of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationships with the land. We acknowledge that they are of continuing importance to the Kaurna people living today.
